Christopher Baker

Leader.  Speaker. consultant.

Currently Mr. Baker serves in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary as a Flotilla Staff Officer in charge of member training. He is also a volunteer for CASA Jefferson, where he enjoys spending time working as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children. 

Mr. Baker has served on several boards. He is the Immediate Past President of the Beta Xi Chapter of Theta Xi Fraternity Alumni Association.  He served on the National Board of Directors of the National Collegiate Wrestling Association as the Southwest Conference Chair. He has also served on the district level as a Unit Commissioner with the Boy Scouts of America.  He was the President/Founder of the Grace King High School Alumni Association.   He founded and coached the only wrestling team in the history of the University of New Orleans for four years. While at UNO he also served on the Faculty Senate, UNO Publications Board, the Strategic Technology Planning and Implementation Group and Student Government.

Philanthropy

Mr. Baker graduated from Grace King High School and is a product of the Jefferson Parish Public School System. He received his Bachelor of General Studies in Psychology, Sociology and Non-Profit Urban Studies from the University of New Orleans, a Master of Arts in Teaching in elementary education from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana and a Master of Education in administration, from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. He is also a Puentes New Orleans Public Leaders Fellow.
